Sylvia was outgoing and fun to be around. She enjoyed taking family trips, especially going fishing and camping in Greer, Arizona. Sylvia enjoyed being with her kids and spent many hours with football or soccer activities. She also liked hanging out with her large family on the patio while barbequing and swimming.
Sylvia graduated from Tolleson High School in 1986. She was involved in many activities including softball, cheer and dance. She also enjoyed the rodeo during her high school years.
She graduated from Arizona State University in 1995 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
Sylvia enjoyed her very successful career as a Medicare Specialist. She took great pride in giving her clients the best advise and service. She treated each client like they were family.
Sylvia is survived by her husband of 25 years, John Cleland, son Luke Cleland, daughter Maris Cleland, son Rees Cleland, brother Javier Hernandez and many uncles, aunts and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, February 3 at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary and Memorial Gardens.
