Beatriz Perez

Our Mother Beatriz was born on December 22, 1927 and went home to the Lord on March 8, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born in a small rancho called El Molino in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico. Her parents were Antonio Perez and Maria del Rosario Sandoval de Perez.

At a very young age she discovered the love for God, learning how to pray. Something that she continued to do and teach to her family for the rest of her life. She had a hunger for knowledge and an early calling to the religious life. But it so happened that Mom not only never went to school, but was not permitted to go to the convent. Regarding her education, she got an unmatched, level of knowledge and wisdom from God. As she would say often, I feel so blessed by God that I feel that I am one of His favorites. She learned to read and write on her own. We truly believe that she was and that she is.

She was married at the age of 15 and quickly adjusted to her new vocation and gave birth to 10 children in Mexico, two of which did not survive, and then two more in the United States. She lived in the United States until her death.

The family knew her best for her love of God, love towards all, her prayerfulness, her forgiving heart, for her wisdom and for her love of nature.

Mamá Beatriz is survived by 10 children, 31 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. The Perez family is truly blessed, and we thank God for giving us a Mom that was truly concerned about all her family, especially for our spiritual health.
