So many beautiful memories with my Tio Ray. One thing that always comes to mind when I think of my Tio is his playful personality. Always chopping our necks if we left them exposed! Lmao good old times it was always a challenge to get you back because you were always ready for my clever moves.  Having my Tio in my home was the best couple years of my life. He helped me so much with his nephews (my boys), taught them good habits and even helped me potty train my 2nd child when I lost hope that I was failing in that area as a single mom. He loved deeply and was my idol, adviser, role model, best friend, and my uncle. He taught me much about life, he learned from many mistakes and was patient with me. We understood each other. The hardest thing to conquer is self love and I have yet to meet anyone other than my uncle who truly loved themselves like he did. My uncle just didn’t know how to care for himself properly and that was not his fault that his sickness conquered his body. My uncles legacy will live on forever. May he Rest In Peace now. 

Ray came into my life with lots of love and laughter. He will always be in my heart even now that he is gone.  He was my soulmate, the love of my life.  Unfortunately he chose a path that I could not follow.  He is in Gods hands now, safe from any harm. I will always love you.

How do you choose what memory to share when you shared thousands. Both good and bad.  You were my husband, my helpmate, father to my daughter, best friend. Yes, things went bad, but as we aged we grew back into a healed friendship.  Forgiveness is a powerful thing. We shared things that many could never understand or comprehend.  It was nice knowing you were a phone call away if I ever wanted to call. I’m sorry I didn’t call more. My hope is that now you have found peace. That your final thought was that of your Savior and as you closed your eyes to this life you opened them to see Him. My heart is heavy. You will forever be in my heart and prayers.  Rest well, Ray. I will mention the first memory that comes to mind. My brother was my ride and die partner during good and bad times. Together we drove my mom crazy. We once decided it would be cool to make a underground tunnel so we dug for several days till we completed the underground tunnel that went from one end of our garage to the other. We really felt accomplished until my mom found out and kicked our butts, lol

I used to take care of him when he was 7yrs old 
I used to feed him and take him to and from school  we used to walk and climb a hill in order to get to school he always happy and playful he was an very good kid and a handful for me I was 13 at that time we love to run around even though we get in trouble.
Things of life we got separated when he was 8 years old but in my mind he always be that lovely little boy.  Rest In Peace 🙏

My best memories with my uncle Ray there where  a lot of good memories I have from when I was younger getting to go to his house on summer vacation to spend time with him. Then as I got older even though I didn’t get to see him much when he was locked up I went to visit him and keeping in touch with him through letters also he would always check in on me and was happy to receive my letters back. Then when I found out he was getting released and he moved in with my mom and I was also living with her at the time my two daughters got to meet him and we spend a lot of time together I will always cherish those memories! Not having my dad around I did look up to him as a protector he would give me advice and just want the best for me and make sure I didn’t put up with any crap that he would beat someone up if they hurt me my uncle was a good person I’m sad he had to leave us I will always keep him in my heart I love you Tio ray May u Rest In Peace!

One of my favorite memories is when Ray showed my daughter Janice and myself how to make homemade tamales.  I only thought the came in a can.i
It took all day, it was messy and one of the most fun days I ever had  there's nothing better than seeing this strong tough man trying to show two women how to cook the best things.  Love you Ray.  Thanks for the lessons.
