Calvin Joseph Blanchard

Calvin Joseph Blanchard, 78, a native and resident of Pierre Part, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. He was retired from McDermott and a member of the Pierre Part Hunting Club. Calvin loved to hunt rabbit, squirrel, and deer.

He is survived by his two daughters, Amanda LeBlanc and husband, Roy, Jr.; and Aurelia Theriot; two sons, Rudy Blanchard and wife, Pat, Sherman Blanchard and wife, Annette; ten loving and caring grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; half brother, Alton Sedotal and wife, Flavia; and one sister-in-law, Anna Cedotal. He also had a special loving pet dog named, Tiger.

Preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Mabile Blanchard; two sons, Aaron Mark Blanchard and Calvin Blanchard, Jr.; parents, Delmar and Annette Hebert Blanchard; one half brother, Nolan Cedotal; and one sister, Roberta Blanchard Landry.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 8:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part at 10:45 a.m. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum.
