

Carlton died June 29, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital with his family by his side.
He was a native of Brusly St Martin and a current resident of Pierre Part. CJ was born on April 15, 1937. He was employed by McDermott in Amelia for 29 years. He began his employment as a helper and retired as the General Superintendent. He had an extreme passion for hunting. He received great pleasure from spending time out in the woods and spending time at his camp in Grand Bayou. CJ also enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Carlton is survived by his wife Lucy Templet Casteigne; his 4 children, Carl Casteigne and wife, Lynnette; Creig Casteigne and wife, Amy; Lisa Alleman and husband, Vernon; and Lori Casteigne and fiancé, Benjamin LeBlanc; his sister, Geneva Sanchez; his brother, Calvin Casteigne; and his 6 grandchildren Kasen, Lacie, Bryce, Taylor, Austin, and Chase. He was preceded in death by his parents Isidore and Agnes Casteigne.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. – 10: 45 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part on Saturday, July 2, 2011. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum.
