Emelda Domingue Landry

Emelda was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Known for her incredible cooking skills, she brought joy to gatherings with her desserts that were always a highlight. Emelda cherished her time spent at home, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many family members who adored her. Each moment shared with them was a treasure, as they were truly the apples of her eye. Her legacy of love will be carried on by all who knew her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her three children, Wanda Aucoin, David Landry (Sam) and Cherilyn Bourgeois; six grandchildren, Brett Landry (Jamie), Nicolas Landry, Alec Landry (Codie), Shelbie Rivere (Jodie), Jaelyn Bourgeois and Wyatt Baumann; seven great grandchildren, Jasper, Andrew, Neil, Kye Scott, Maverick, Bruce and Kila; two great great grandchildren, Braxton and Graycie; four siblings, Cullen Domingue, Eve Domingue, Loretta Duval and Dewey "DJ" Domingue and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Landry; one son, Scott Landry; two grandchildren, Tommy Aucoin Jr. and Marshall Bourgeois Jr.; father, Dewey Domingue, step mother Eva and mother, Philomene Daigle Rodrigue; twelve siblings, Percy Domingue, Adam "Eves" Domingue Sr., Dudley Domingue, Ivory Domingue Sr., Eva Mae Rivere, Alphonse "AJ" Domingue, Lorraine Benoit, Carol Domingue, Calvin Domingue, Adeline Landry, Allen Rodrigue and Gary Rodrigue; three infant siblings, Albruge Domingue, Rupert Domingue and Lucy Domingue and two sons-in-law, Tommy Aucoin Sr. and Marshall Bourgeois Sr.

Pallbearers will be: Brett Landry, Nicolas Landry, Alec Landry, Bruce Aucoin, Randall Domingue and Adam Domingue Jr.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part,LA, with interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
