

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting, embroidery, gardening, dancing, celebrating her Cajun heritage, and running the roads with her BFF Mary Lee Mabile. We were all blessed by her presence.
She is survived by her three sons, Bryan and Isabelle Dugas, Kerry and Amy Dugas, and Jay and Kay Dugas; daughter, Annette and Tracy Breaux; eight grandchildren, Angelle and Chris Harrell, Antoine and Carly Chausnot, Chloe Dugas, Nathaniel Dugas, Erica and Justin Piper, Mallory and Kurt Charpentier, Jake and Brittany Breaux, and Kris and Ross Waguespack; fifteen great-grandchildren, Amari Dugas, Cayden and Cruz Harrell, Baby Chausnot, Abigail, Easton, and Brooks Piper, Lyla and Andi Charpentier, Parker and Baby Breaux, Emma, William, Annie, and Camille Waguespack; three sisters, LeeAnna Dugas, Cecilia Blanchard, and Carol Bennett; brother, Lenis Theriot along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Estelle Theriot; first husband of 40 years until his death, Percy "Mickey" Dugas; second husband, Douglas "Joe" Courville; grandson, Joseph Dugas; daughter-in-law, JoAnna Dugas; two sisters, Judy Bergeron and Margie Theriot; and two brothers, Leland and Leonard Theriot.
The pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Jake Breaux, Nathaniel Dugas and Antoine Chausnot; godchildren, Burton Theriot, Gene Theriot, Todd Bergeron and Ross Blanchard representing Cecilia Blanchard.
A visitation will take place on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Ourso Funeral Home from 8:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial for 11:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Al Davidson will be officiating.
