Lelia Elaine Gaudet

Lelia Elaine (Rivere) Gaudet, A native of Brusly St. Vincent and resident of Pierre Part, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her home on October 11, 2017 at age 94. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt who will be missed by all who loved her. She was a loving wife for 41 years to the late Paul Toutsi Gaudet who passed away in 1985. She is survived by her children, Eula Mae Meterjean, Lloyd Gaudet, Sr., and wife, Jackie, Roberta Hebert and husband, Horace, Floyd Gaudet, Sr., and wife Linda; grandchildren, Annette Adams and husband, James, Troy Cavalier, Danette Legnon, Linette Folks and husband Floyd, Laura Champagne and husband, Robert, Christina Afonso and husband, Jeff, Lloyd Gaudet, Jr., and fiancé, Krista, Harlan Hebert and wife, Dana, Layton Hebert and wife, Stacey, Nathan Hebert and wife, Monica, Hannah Cain and husband, Brian, Shelli Paxton and husband, Troy, Floyd Gaudet, Jr., and wife, Chantel, Trish Gaudet and fiancé, Ernest; 30 great grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; 3 step great-great grandchildren; brothers, Larry Rivere and wife, Ruby and numerous nieces and nephews relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Leonard and Yola Marie (Cedotal) Rivere; one daughter, Luanna Cavalier; grandchildren, Angel and Justin Gaudet, Jason Hebert; great grandson, Byron Cavalier; great granddaughter Sienna Cavalier; step-great granddaughter, Lacie Paxton; son-in-law, Iry Meterjean; sisters, Anaise Cedotal, Amie Cavalier, Annie Breaux, and Anita Templet; brothers, Herbert, Jean, Herman, Ivory, and Eves Rivere. Visitation will be held at St Elizabeth Catholic Church on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Rev. Matthew Graham. Burial to follow in church cemetery.
