

A loving mom, grandmother, sister and friend, Lennora Emily Templet Ackman passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 after a courageous battle of pancreatic cancer. She was 70 years old and was a lifelong resident of Pierre Part. She is survived by her devoted daughter Holly Menuet and husband, Armond and grandsons, Austin Menuet and Hayze LeBlanc. She leaves behind three sisters, Nell Theriot and Eddie, Opal Ford and John and Rowena Verrette and Aubrey. She also leaves behind five beautiful nieces, Amy Falcon (Shawn), Candace Jolissaint (Joseph), Lori Trotti (Lance), Toby Besson (Keith) and Tonia Verrette and numerous great-nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her very special friend Roy Aucoin and an amazing group of childhood friends. She is preceded in death by sons, James Joseph Ackman and Helman Ackman, Jr. Her parents, Herbert and Lueany Templet. She is finally at peace and reunited with James, whom she missed deeply each and every day. A very special thanks to her oncologist Dr. Naveed Khan and the entire staff and nurses at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Houma, LA. She was treated with the utmost care and compassion. They truly made her journey as comfortable as they could. Pallbearers will be: Austin Menuet, Armond Menuet, Joseph Jolissaint, Lance Trotti, Shawn Falcon, Keith Besson, Eddie Theriot and Roy Aucoin. Honorary pallbearers will be: Aubrey Verrette, John Ford and great-nephews. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
