Loveless Joseph Templet

A native and resident of Pierre Part, he passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at the age of 94. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and woodwork. He also enjoyed working in his shop repairing and building things instead of buying them. He loved boiling and eating crawfish, and having the family over to enjoy it with him. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, and will be missed by all who loved him during his long life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Anita Rivere Templet; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Alvin P. Landry and Margaret and Daniel Ackman; son and daughter-in-law, Norbert and Brenda Templet; grandchildren and their spouses, Alisa and Don Blanchard, Alvin “J.R.” and Teresa Landry, Tammy and Scott Templet, Ken Barras and Dr. Paul Poteat, Dane and Bonnie Barras, Raven Templet and Mark Hebert; stepgrandchildren and their spouses, Daniel Ackman Jr., Jenny and Ben Mitchell and Jeremy and Amanda Ackman; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Blanchard, Donny Blanchard, Cassie Templet and spouse, Tyler Gros, Michelane Templet, Luke Barras, Taylor Barras, Mallory Borne, Brooke Turley, Emily Ackman, Isabella Ackman, Elizabeth Boudoin and Scott Boudoin Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Wilbert Hebert; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorena Landry and Bernard Templet; grandchildren, Tanya Ann Templet and John Paul Landry; sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Justilien Morals Sr.; and brother, Minus Templet. Pallbearers will be Ken Barras, Dane Barras, Alvin “J.R.” Landry, Don Blanchard, Scott Templet and Mark Hebert. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, Thursday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, at 1 p.m. with the Rev.
