

Sheila Scioneaux Bourque, 48, a native of Grand Bayou and resident of Pierre Part passed away on January 18, 2018. Sheila was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and god mother. She loved people and never met a stranger! She especially loved cooking, shopping, becoming a Godmother and being with friends and family. She had the biggest, kindest heart and was loved by all whom she met. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Woody Bourque, Jr.; one Goddaughter, Alexis Mary Landry; one stepson, Joseph W. Bourque III (Joe) and Godson Jordan Joseph Landry; four sisters, Gina Scioneaux Vedros (Rudy), Shelly Scioneaux Hernandez (Tim), Tracy Scioneaux Gaudet (Sandy), and Yvette Simoneaux Landry (Jerry Jr.); two brothers, Tommy Scioneaux and Dell Scioneaux (Melissa); five step grandchildren, Bryce, Brodie, Christian, Allisa and Damian; five nieces, Tabitha, Samantha, Misty, Lindsay, and Jerilyn; and two nephews, Lundey and Jeremy Landry. She is preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Edward Scioneaux, one brother, Edward “Cheyenne” Scioneaux, one Godchild, Jade Michael Landry; father in law, Woodley J. Bourque; and Felix Simoneaux. The pallbearers will be Lundey Scioneaux, Jordan Landry, Trey Williams, Andy Gros, Joseph Bourque III, Dell Scioneaux and Jerry Landry, Jr. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Sandy Patel and the staff at Ochsner Foundation Hospital Jefferson campus and to home health nurse and niece, Jerilyn Gros for her compassion and comfort in her time of need.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at New Covenant Community Church for 9:30 am until the funeral services in Pierre Part. A memorial service also will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Friday, January 26, 2018 for 11 am in Paincourtvillle. Burial to follow in church cemetery.
