Betty O'Berry

She was born on 12/2/1926 in Dearborn Michigan to German immigrants, William Schlueter and Marie Voss who embraced the United States as their home and proudly proclaimed their allegiance.

She married Larry O’Berry on 9/10/1947 and through him became acquainted with The Salvation Army of which she was a staunch member from that day forward. She became a soldier for Christ and raised her family as Salvationists. She was active in the Home League serving as President, Assistant President, Treasurer and Sales Chairman at various times. She was very proud of her Honorama Awards for perfect attendance.

She is survived by her children; Elizabeth Ann Malcolm, Larry Lyle O’Berry, Jr., Dellbertia Soave (Mark) and Kelly Louise O’Berry: her grandchildren; Barbara Malcolm (James), Kym Malcolm, Michele Perron (Stephen) and Devin Soave (Renee): her great-grandchildren; Ryan and Corey Perron, Alex, Jessi and Tyler Soave: brothers-in-law; Walter O’Berry (Joyce) and Harold O’Berry: sisters-in-law; JoAnn Langer (Ed) and Doris Frey. Plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her Husband of 62 years, Larry Lyle O’Berry, Sr. and her grandsons, James Michael Ashley Malcolm and Chance Soave.
