Dennis was born in Cleveland, OH to Jack and Ada Rogers. He was husband to LuzMa, father to Jack, and stepfather to Diego, Mario, and Juan Martinez, as well as grandfather of three. He was brother to John, Patrick, Deborah, Mike, Jerry (deceased) and Scott.
Dennis was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Florida as a young man where he fell in love with the state and the ocean. He was a great business man from being a great salesman (he could sell you anything) to owning two successful commodities investment firms, culminating his wonderful career as a Compliance Officer for the commodities industry.
He loved golf, and his boats, especially the "Captain Jack", and deep-sea fishing, going as far as the Bahamas in search of the "big ones". Dennis also volunteered for the Coast Guard Auxiliary Aviation Program, and coached for youth sports.
His big smile and infectious laugh will be deeply missed. Each Fall we will always picture Dennis doing what he loved most – fishing on the deep blue ocean with a "Jack Daniels" in hand– laughing at the thought of missing another miserable Cleveland winter and rooting on his beloved Cleveland Browns; we will miss seeing him playing on the floor with his grandchildren and being crazy uncle Dennis to his beloved nephews and nieces.
Services pending. In memory of Dennis AKA Mr. Royers – pull a cork, raise a glass, and drink a toast to a life well-lived.
