Every day I still miss your absence. If I only had time to tell you all the things I needed to say one more time. I never got to tell you how much you mean to me or that you were the best Dad, better than any man could be. I thought a lot about death and dying. I still have plenty of questions, but nobody to answer them. But one important one is, why so soon? As the days go by I've learned to accept a lot of things. Life can be very exhausting but also enjoyable, but in reality life is what you make of it. I will always remember the good times we had, especially with your grandchildren, Jorge, Christopher, Priscilla, Nicholas, and Syomara. Your memories will always be part of their lives forever. As good news encounters our lives I want to share them with you. You became a great-grandpa to two beautiful baby girls. They are the love of our lives as my sister and I became grand-mothers. You are not here to see them grow but you will always be present in their hearts. I can't wait to share all the memories with my beautiful grand-daughter Luna Diane.

Julio, on Sunday, was one year of you leaving me and all of us.  I know you were here with me that day.  I found my watch that dissapeared and it turned up right before my eyes.  Thank you, my dear.  I feel you here with me all the time and I miss you so much.  I hope you enjoyed the little talk Georgine and I had with you on Sunday.  I know in my heart you were there listening to us talking about the good old days. Also, on Sunday, our dog Teddy was very quiet.  He knew.  Rusty was a bit sad and kept by my side and our new addition, Pandora, was not sure of what to make of any of it.  Yes, dear, I adopted another stray baby to keep me company, you would love her.  I see that you are going to be a great-grandfather.  Thanks alot, now I feel really old. In Memory of my Daddy,
Today marks of one year Anniversary since you went to heaven. We visited you today, gave you flowers, hugged you, kissed you and even brought your guitar so you can play a song. I'm still coping everyday with your absence in my life. Always seeing you through other people but in reality they are not you. Soon I will be a grandmother myself as you will be a Great-grandpa. Christopher, your grand-son is having his first baby and it's a girl. I can't wait to tell her all about you, my Daddy.

I could've never imagined how hard it was going to be not having you here with us.  Every day I'm coping differently not able to talk to you, thinking that you will call me soon.  Even though we were living far from each other you always spent time with us no matter the distance. You were there during our happy times and you were there when we needed support. I will always remember the music you played on your beautiful guitar and the big fish we caught during one of our family's vacations in Puerto Rico. Those memories with you will be in my heart forever and I will never forget you, Daddy. From a child I became a woman and had my own children, your grandchildren. You were there when they were born and you were there until the end. They will never forget you. All the times I spend with you will be cherished forever. I will miss you a lot!

Dear Grandpa,

I may not know how good of a father, husband or brother you were, but I do know one thing, and that is that you were a great grandfather. You taught us all to be adventurous with nature and to not be afraid. All five of your grandfather caught their first fishes with you and that is a memory that we will all pass on to our children. Your three oldest grandchildren will have many stories to tell your two baby grandchildren as they will have their own to tell us. It's been a month since you've left us and the day Mommy got the call is an unfortunate memory that's been replaying in my mind since. Even though you are no longer physically here, I know you are keeping watch over each and every one of your grandchildren; guiding us to the right direction as if you was still here. As a child I was always shy to start talking to you but I always enjoyed and looked forward to your surprise visits. I remember you used to call Daddy or Mommy at random times letting them know that you'll be at our house in a little bit and I used to be filled with excitement. I always knew right away that the day will involve family time being spent outdoors. As I grew older it was easier to talk to you and have a little bonding time. You used to always talk about how much you enjoyed work and different adventures you had when you took a walk at the park. The last memory I have of you I'm glad to say was one of the best. It was at Titi's wedding on August 10, 2013, the last day most of us saw you. You had asked me to dance with you and pulled me to the dance floor. We started dancing slow and to my surprise, out of nowhere, you started dancing real quick salsa. We had great laughs at that moment and that is something I will never forget. Although, it does hit me sometimes that I was the last of your grandchildren to see you, as I was the one that drove you back to my apartment to get your car. But that last hug and kiss you gave me will never be forgotten. You are now my Guardian Angel guiding me through the many obstacles life throws at you and I will greatly miss you. I love you Grandpa and may you rest in peace.

Daddy words can't describe the pain I feel. My heart was torn apart when I received that phone call Sunday afternoon October 13, 2013.  From that moment I could not understand why?, why now?, so soon. But then I realized that in life there is always a reason why things happen the way they happen. God looked around his garden and found an empty space. Then he looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful. He only takes the best.
Daddy I was told I should be proud of you. Well, let me start by saying that I was always proud of you "My Daddy". I remembered when I was a little girl all the hugs and kisses I used to get from you and you would not get tired of it. How you used to play your guitar and sing songs to Debbie and I. You were the one that taught me how to drive a stick shift car, a motorcycle, a boat, how to fish, swim, and many other things. The list is so long I would never finished. As an adult you were always there for me regardless the situation. We shared allot of good memories and secrets. I will always treasured every day we spend together and I will never forget all the good times you had with Junior your first grandson. Another very important memory I will always treasured is Thanksgiving Day in 2012 when my now husband, asked you for my hand and you welcome him into the family and gave us your blessings. I am so sad you didn't get to spend allot of time with him but the moments spend together will be always remembered. When I am feeling down, I look at the last pictures taken of you on our wedding day.
Daddy I will never forget you. I was always proud of you regardless of what life put in between us. To me you were the best father ever and a terrific grandfather. I know you didn't go away Daddy, you are just no longer where you were before, but you are now wherever we are. You will always walk beside us Daddy every day of our life.

Julio was a kind, sincere, harding work man. I worked closely with Julio for the last four years in the transportation department. At the end of most days, he would always say to me, "Be careful out there".
