I can't belive it's been a year already.  I think of Linda everyday, and laugh when I hear our favorite song that was played often at the Elks.  Maybe now Linda knows "Who the hell is Alice" is?  I still don't know.  When I get up there she'll tell me!

My mom was strong until the end.  She fought her disease with courage and grace.  I will miss our daily talks on the phone and my shopping partner in crime!  I only hope that I can be as great a mom as she was.  Mom I look forward to seeing you again in our Father's house.

I have been deeply saddened by the loss of a beautiful person, my cousin Jim's wife, Linda. I live in NJ now and haven't spoken with her or Jim in probably 25 years, but I remember when Jim was dating Linda back in the late 1960's. I was only in my pre-teen years but I remember thinking I hope they get married - they were a striking couple with Jim's tallness and her shortness and always laughing together. Then the day finally came in July of 1969 when I got to go to their wedding! It was beautiful - she was beautiful. Jim was handsome! She always made me feel good even though I was a short, pudgy teenager at the time. Then in 1974 I was glad to hear that there would be another Tibbetts/Northrup family connection to Linda when her brother Reid married my sister Mary! More opportunities to be around the family came after that and got to see more of her and forge more great memories, until I moved to NJ in 1987. 
My heart and prayers go out to Jim and his mom, my Aunt Ginger (Virginia (Ginger)Florence Northrup Thimm), and Jean Tibbetts and the rest of the Tibbetts/Thimm/Northurp clan. She is in a much better place and will be your guardian angle from on high.

Aunt Linda will always be in my heart. She was there for me through my years of chemo and fighting the battle and kept me laughing when I was down. I'll always remember the laughter and lightheartedness. My heart and prayers go out to the family and I hope they can find comfort in her peace. I love you all and I know she will forever watch over you.

When I think of Linda, I remember all of the laughs we had, and also her sense of humor. Linda will be grately missed not only by me, but all the people she has touched.

Linda fought so hard, not wanting to leave her wonderful husband, children, grandchildren and mother. Now she will always be giving them assistance from the spiritual side, without pain, and leaves behind so many years of good memories. Sending love and prayers to my cousin Jim and family.

I could always count on Linda's smile.  Linda made people feel good.  She was the perfect match to Jim and you will always be the couple who I admired.  My thoughts and prayers are with you Jim.

Through all this, I discovered a strength in my mom that I never knew existed.  In spite of everything she was going through, she never complained and always stayed positive.  I admire her so much for that and will forever strive to be as amazing as she was.  She was the best mom anyone could ever ask for, and I will miss her immensely.

A couple weeks ago Linda gave Mark a picture of me in her wedding. I had forgotten all about it. Now I will cherish it forever.
