Ever since Nancy was a little girl, she was a person who knew what she wanted and tried with all her might to get it. Stubborn is a word that comes to mind. Obstinate is another. A beautiful brown-eyed little one who survived a fall from a second-story porch, who grew up with that same determination and will to live her life the way she wanted to. Her daughter Francesca was her life and she loved her with all her heart and soul. This past year was spent with her loved ones in Florida and with us in here in North Carolina. We had such a wonderful time talking about the "old days", spending time with together, hanging out at our pool and shopping. We even managed to work in a graduation party for Frankie. She was so proud of Frankie graduating high school.
While she lost her last battle with the cancer, Nancy fought bravely and fought long. She is at peace now reunited with her loved ones that have gone before her. We will all see her again one day. Heaven has another angel looking over us.
FEEL NO GUILT IN LAUGHTER
Feel no guilt in laughter, she’d know how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile that she is not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever; she would not want you to.
She’d hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you, a word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,
That brings her back as clearly as though she were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that she is always near.
For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart
And she will live forever locked safely within your heart.
