

Orva June Giese, age 90 of Deerfield Beach,FL was taken to Heaven on Saturday, March 19th. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving daughters after a lengthy battle with numerous medical conditions.
Orva June was born February 22, 1932, in West Bend, WI to the late Roland and Verna Koch. She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1950. During her senior year, she performed office duties at the General Malleable Foundry part time. She also helped the Waukesha County Nurses as an aide in the school health programs.
After graduation from high school, she dated Ernest for several years. Upon his discharge from the army in November of 1952, they married in Waukesha, Wi.
Orva June was a devoted and loving wife and mother, always caring for her husband and five daughters.
She worked all her married life for doctors. First in Waukesha, for a group of Primary Care physicians as a billing and insurance administrator. After the family moved to Pompano Beach, Fl in October 1973, she became the office manager supporting Orthopedic surgeons for 25 years, until she retired in 1998.
Her joy was found in serving her Savior through many church activities, always willing to help whenever there was a need. She loved watching Marlins baseball and Heat basketball on TV.
Ernest preceded her in death in 2015 after 62 years of a faith-filled marriage.
She is survived by her five loving daughters: Teri Lynn (Barry) Fuentez, Lawton OK; Patti Johnson, Holly Springs NC; Sally (Jeff) Hugo, Crawfordville FL; Nancy (Richard) Long, Deerfield Beach Fl; Judy (Scott) Competiello, Ocala Fl. Proud grandmother to Ryan Johnson, Raleigh NC; Keith (Monica) Johnson, Loveland OH; Ashley Competiello, Ocala Fl; Ashlei (Anthony) Martinez, Ashland City, TN. Adoring great-grandmother to Parker, Olivia and Henry. She leaves behind one sister-in-law, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 28 at 12:00pm in the Kraeer Funeral Home chapel, 217 E Hillsboro Blvd Deerfield Beach. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10am-12pm at the Funeral chapel prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, located at 200 W Copans Road in Pompano Beach. Afterwards, a luncheon will be provided at The Meadows of Crystal Lake clubhouse, 2300 SW 17th Circle Deerfield Beach.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Orva June’s name will be designated to Divine Savior Lutheran Church Delray Beach building signage fund.
