Virginia Windsor (Buterbaugh), 69, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025. Born on October 12, 1956, in Silver Spring, Maryland, Virginia spent most of her life in Pompano Beach, Florida, where she built a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Windsor Sr.; her mother, Lillian Windsor (Gill); her brother, Frank Windsor Jr. of Georgia; her beautiful daughter, Heather Lee Ritter; and her precious great-niece, Destiney Heather Nicholson Crawford.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband, John Buterbaugh; her son, Robert Lee Ritter Jr.; her sister, Katherine Windsor Bennett; and her beloved niece, Sheila Bradshaw. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren and her beautiful family of choice, who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Virginia was caring, loving, strong-willed, and fiercely independent. She was intelligent, resilient, and full of life — an amazing woman, mother, daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her spirit will live on in the laughter, memories, and love she shared with so many.
