Angela "Mama Jela" Gonzales

Angela “Mama Jela” Gonzales, 81, of Port Arthur passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Angela was born on Wednesday, October 1, 1930 to the late Juan Pablo Gonzales and Juana Herrera. Angela was a mother to all and the heart of her family. She kept her family together by being a strong, caring and loving woman who put her family first. Angela raised her brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren. The family will never be the same without her. She will be truly missed by everyone.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Elsa White, Great grandson, Juan V. Briseno, Son in law, Robert White and nephew Marcelino Moreno.

Angela is survived by her brother and sisters; Guadalupe Ramirez, Reynaldo Gonzales, Ricardo Gonzales, Cristoval Gonzales, Victoria Gonzales, and Juana Gonzales, daughter, Rosa Ramirez, grandchildren; Maria Gallegos, Maria Briseno, Angel Resendiz, Daniel Resendiz, Robert White, Jose White, Luis White, Timothy White, Ismael Ramirez, Eric Ramirez, Juan Pablo Gonzales, Mario Ramirez, Victor Cruz, Rosa Nelly Hurtado, Dora Alicia, Griselda Gallegos, Gabriela Gallegos, Diana Nunez, Angie Gallegos and Rosemary Ventura, Becky Resendiz, and Lety Resendiz.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012, from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
