Danny Adam Duplechain, 72, of Groves, Texas, peacefully passed away in his sleep on July 31, 2024.
He was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on August 14, 1951, to Ernest A. and Betty Jo Duplechain, and was the only boy of four children. Danny proudly joined the United States Marine Corps., in 1971, where proudly served for many years in active and reserve duty.
Danny was a proud father of two sons and an extremely proud grandfather of four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, four girls and three boys.
He was a die-hard Marine, first and foremost, and he never passed up the chance to let anyone know that. His passion was vehicles, mainly classic and hot rods, he loved checking out the cars and trucks as much as possible. His knowledge in the auto parts field was highly sought after even long after his retirement, Dad sure knew his parts.
Danny is survived by his oldest son Daniel Justin Duplechain, and spouse Rachel; as well as his youngest son Joseph Valetine Duplechain and spouse Lisa. He is also survived by his grandchildren Raymond Joseph Duplechain, and Daniel Justin Duplechain, Jr; granddaughters Stormie Ann Duplechain, and Josalie Hope Duplechain; step-grandchildren Makayla Farnell and spouse Joshua; Aspen Havard and finance’ Johnny Meshell, Jr, and Ryder Philp. Great Grandchildren Raymond Joseph Duplechain, Jr; Step-Great Grandchildren Derek and Kyla Farnell. Sisters Linda Strickland and spouse Homer, and Pam.
Danny, “Dad” will always be remembered, and we will miss him every day, even his standard response to everything “I know”. But his memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest easy Dad and don’t worry we will take it from here.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister Regina Duplechain, and his parents Ernest A. and Betty Jo Duplechain.
Graveside Memorial Service will be held on August 10, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at Green Lawn Cemetery, Groves, Texas.
