

Gary Ray Landry, age 76, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023, in Groves, Texas. Born on March 16, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas to Joseph and Bernice Landry. Gary was a beloved father, brother, and cherished friend.
Gary was known for his passion for duck hunting with his son, his dedication to coaching and discussing his children's sports achievements. A graduate of Lamar University, Gary Landry's professional journey was as diverse as his interests, spanning roles in accounting, security at Gulf/Chevron, ownership of Traditions Furniture, sales, and compassionate caregiving to the late cherished Barbara Johnson.
In his personal life, Gary Landry provided strength, support and valuable advice for his family and friends. His remarkable ability to recall memories from the past and share stories from the Bible touched the lives of those around him.
Gary is survived by his sister Velma Landry, brothers Robert Landry, Glenn Landry, and John Landry, his son Lance Landry and wife Teresa Landry, daughter Alicia Blanchard and husband Paul Blanchard, and grandchildren Laurel Landry, Thomas Landry, Matthew Blanchard, and Chloe Blanchard. Gary Landry's departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service to celebrate Gary's life will be held on Friday, December 29th, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, 4841 39th Street, Port Arthur, at 3:00 PM (visitation begins at 2:00 PM).
