Georgia Morvant

Georgia Morvant, age 87, of Groves, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Georgia was born December 10, 1933 in Junction City Arkansas. Her parents moved to Port Arthur where she attended school at Sacred Heart. Georgia put herself through nursing school while raising 5 children. Georgia was a LVN at St. Mary's Hospital and retired from Crest Haven Nursing Home in 1985. She was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception - St. Peter the Apostle.

Georgia is preceded in death by her daughter Tina Jennings and sons Ricky Jennings and Thomas Jennings. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Matthew Morvant; her children Larry Jennings and Angela (Brian Roy) Jennings and her grandchildren, Lance Freeman and his wife Brittney Freeman, Payton Creel, Michelle Jennings, Michael Kashawn Jennings, Christie Odom, Robin Hines, Shana Jennings and Shane Jennings. She also leaves behind 20 grand children and 20 great grandchildren

Funeral Service are Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home Chapel, beginning at 10:00 AM with the family receiving friend at beginning at 8:30 AM. Mrs. Morvant will be buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
