Helen Warren Maxwell

Helen Warren Maxwell of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at her home on February 23, 2023. Helen, a native of Port Arthur, was born on November 10, 1938, to the late Lawrence (Fats) Warren and Mildred Letulle Warren. Helen was a graduate of Bishop Byrne High School and a member of the Colleens Drum and Bugle Corps.

The Family will receive friends from 9:00 - 10:00 with a Service Celebrating the Life of Helen beginning at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland, Texas following the services.

Helen is preceded in death not only by her parents but also her brother, Larry Warren, and son, Aaron McKague. She is survived by daughter, Mary Kay Smith and husband, Douglas (Salty) of Nederland, Texas; son, John McKague and wife, Cathy of Trinity, Texas; daughter, Millie Varnado and partner, Ray Higginbotham of Mangum, Oklahoma; and daughter, Laura Moore of Port Arthur, Texas. Helen is also survived by sister, Susan Warren Moss of Port Neches, Texas; sister-in-law Claudia Borel Warren of Sugarland, Texas; and daughter-in-law, Melissa McKague of Beaumont, Texas. Helen had 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
