Juanita lived most of her life in Port Arthur. A graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, she worked briefly on Texaco Island before marrying her high school sweetheart, Harold “Pete” Uzee Sr., in 1951 and went on to raise four children. Neat and Pete attended events for every child possible through the years, and her passion for her family’s happiness was evident in her everyday life.
Juanita was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose overwhelming generosity, unconditional love and support, and most especially her unfailing ability to forgive, will be missed by all who knew her.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Pete” Uzee Sr.; parents, Samuel W. Houston and Bessie New Houston and step-father of 30 years, Emory John Crowell.
