Lena Gremillion

Lena Gremillion, 80, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Monday, December 06, 2010, at Cypress Glen East in Port Arthur. Lena was born October 25, 1930, in Plaucheville, Louisiana to Etienne & Blanche St. Romain. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and has lived in Port Arthur most of her life. Lena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed baking, playing practical jokes and gardening. She was a devout Catholic and will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Gremillion; son, Rodney Gremillion, her parents and several sisters & brothers.

Lena is survived by her son, Gene Gremillion and wife Janice of Groves, Texas; daughters, Patsy Roccaforte and husband Ronald of Port Neches, Texas, Martha Hollier and husband Randy of Groves, Texas and Christine Scott and husband Bruce of Nederland, Texas; grandchildren, Melissa Trahan (Shane), Troy Nicotre (Emily), Kyle Nicotre (Kaki), Michelle Hightower, Kirby Gremillion, Christopher Greek, Jason Broussard (Heather), Corey Hollier, Kara Scott, Katie Scott, Brandon Gremillion, Mindy Gremillion, Kristin Kelley and Ryan Kelley; great grandchildren, Hallie Sturrock, Keegan Trahan, Jaxson Trahan, Mindy Nicotre and Madilyn Broussard; sister, Janet St. Romain and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, from 4 p.m., until 8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at 10 a.m., at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Groves with Msgr. Kenneth Greig officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Cypress Glen East and Odyssey Hospice for all of the great care and love that was given to Lena.
