Pamela lived a life full of love, family, and simple joys. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose gentle heart and caring spirit touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
Pamela is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Landry and husband Robert; her son Timothy Wright and wife Megan; her daughter Deborah Michel and husband Jeremy; and her son Jonathan Wright and wife Brandi. She also leaves behind her brothers Tommy Smith and William Armstrong, Jr., along with her grandchildren Keano Lane, Samantha Lane, Tristen Wright, Dauson Wright, Dustin Cahanin, and Lexi Roby, who were the light of her life.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband, David Wright; her parents, Cecil B. McCrary and Ruth Doretta Sims; and her dear grandson, Michael Wright.
Pamela found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved curling up with a good book and could often be found working on jigsaw puzzles or flipping through puzzle books, always eager for the next challenge. She enjoyed the laughter and camaraderie of playing bingo, and she had a creative touch with sewing, arts, and crafts. Pamela also had her favorite pastimes—watching her daytime soap operas and cheering for the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros, never failing to get caught up in the excitement of the game.
But above all, Pamela’s greatest happiness came from being with her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, whether it was a holiday gathering, a simple visit, or just talking and laughing together. She had a way of making ordinary days feel special and filled her home with warmth, love, and care.
A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, 4841 39th St., Port Arthur, Texas 77642. She will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens, 3098 Hwy 69, Nederland, Texas 77627.
Pamela’s memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy of kindness, love, and simple joys will continue to inspire all who knew her.
