Rafael grew up in Cotija Michoacán, Mexico until he moved to Port Arthur, Texas. Rafael played trumpet when he was young and liked to sing. Rafael loved to tell stories of the past and life on a ranch. He loved animals and was jokester to his family.
Rafael is survived by his wife Pabla, his children, Rafael Valencia; Jose Maria Valencia; Pablo Valencia; Jesus Valencia; Martha Valencia; Juana; Maura Valencia; Guadalupe Valencia; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Rafael is proceeded in death by his parents Rafael and Anita.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place January 25, 2022 from 2-10 pm with Rosary at 6 pm at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on January 26, 2022 at 10 am. Burial is to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Tx.
