Theresa Mae Messer

Theresa was born on September 30, 1927, in St. Martinsville, Louisiana to Monique Braquet Decoux and George Decoux. She was a housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family dearly. Theresa was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur and was very involved in her church. She loved to knit, cook and spend time with her family, especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies.

Theresa is survived by her sons, Gene Messer of Groves and Carroll Messer of Baytown, Texas; sister, Patsy Decoux of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Jo Lynn Decoux of Nederland; grandchildren, Matthew Messer, Georgia Ball and Jessica de Rivera; great grandchildren, Lydia, Willow, Max and Scarlett. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Messer, Sr.; son, George Messer, Jr. and her daughter, Linda Jones.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur.
