

Wilbert Richard Kube, 95, a Native of Port Arthur went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 28, 2014 in Nacogdoches, TX. Wilbert was born on September 6, 1919 in Lexington, TX to Heinrick and Paulina Kube. He was baptized 7 days after he was born. At the age of 6, Wilbert moved to Port Arthur, TX; he was raised and lived his adult life in Port Arthur, he also served in the United States Navy. He traveled a lot for work as a Master Welder until he had his first child. He found work as a Pipe Fitter for ARCO-Polymer and later retired from there. Wilbert loved fishing, cooking, and traveling around the country. He was a volunteer Fireman and trained at Texas A&M. He was an Elder of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Port Arthur and was later a member of Redeemer Lutheran in Nacogdoches.
Wilbert is preceded in death by his parents; Heinrick August Kube and Paulina Anna Kasper Kube; first wife, Geneva Josephine Sharp and second wife, Ethelyn Drummond Roberts; brothers, Gerhardt Kube, Eric Kube, Milton Kube and Victor Kube; sisters, Clara Hunter, Flora Miller, and Emily Jones.
He is survived by daughters, Dianna Stewart and husband, Marvin, and Elsie Davis and husband Chris; grandchildren, Dianna Christine Lacy and husband Edward, Sarah Ball and husband Richard, Evan Stewart and wife Traci, and Laura McCoy; great-grandchildren, Geneva Lacy, Gwendolyn Lacy, Katherine Ball, Helen Ball, and Jordan Stewart; step-sons, Greg Roberts and wife Kathy and Steve Roberts and wife Pam; step-daughters, Lisa Newby and husband Terry and Lori Tonne and husband Matt; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Earline Kube and Mildred Kube; and numerous nieces and nephews
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, December 5, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home; 4841 39th Street, Port Arthur, TX. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 5801 W. Jefferson St., Groves, TX. Interment will follow, at Greenlawn Memorial Park; 3900 Twin City Hwy., Groves, TX.
