

Alex was born at Martin Memorial in Stuart, Florida on June 28, 1999 and was raised in Port St. Lucie.
Alex was preceded in death by her grandfather George Belk, uncle Steve Belk, and aunt Candy Champ.
Survivors include her parents Tony and Charlotte Doran, brother Lake Doran, maternal grandmother Mary Jane Belk, paternal grandparents Russell Doran, Patricia Doran Williams, great grandmother Alice Kiel, honorary grandmother Linda Kramer, aunt Georgia Belk, uncle Barry Mills, special love Nevada Rains, her beloved four legged friend Daisy “Bubba” Doran, many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Alex attended homeschool from kindergarten through 7th grade, Southern Oaks Middle school 8th grade, freshmen and sophomore years at College Preparatory Academy, partial junior year of homeschool and then Port St. Lucie High School.
Alex was a very active child. She spent many years as a competitive gymnast and at 5 years of age became an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Champion for her division, she enjoyed soccer, ballet, tap, karate, horseback riding, cheerleading, surfing, kayaking on the river, many years at Port St. Lucie Lanes with their bowling league and the list goes on. Alex spent many years with Saddle Up Kids 4H and held every board position during that time. She was a volunteer with Fully Involved Farms assisting with giving disabled children therapeutic riding lessons and Special Olympics was dear to her heart as she helped with equestrian, bowling, paddle boarding, and presenting awards. Alex’s favorite hobbies were painting, drawing, photography, anything that was a craft and traveling. Her favorite vacation was St. Croix U.S.V.I and snorkeling at Buck Island and numerous trips to Belize and meeting the locales.
Alex had a magnetic personality that attracted people old and young. She was the one that was first on scene of an injured animal, named and watched for every alligator in the St. Lucie River and named the wild crane Tootsey that has flown over the river for years, she loved working with those with special needs and always stood up for them. Alex was only a child but could carry on a conversation like an adult. She was so smart, loving, outgoing, stubborn and beautiful.
A visitation will take place Monday, April 18, 2016 from 10-11:30 am with funeral service at 11:30 am with Pastor David Zoerhof presiding at Aycock Funeral Home and Crematory, 1504 SE Floresta Drive Port St. Lucie, Florida 34983. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden in Fort Pierce, Florida.
