

Anne M. Brandefine of Port St Lucie died in her home after hospitalization on June 19, 2019 at 86 years old. Anne was born in Staten Island, New York, daughter of Thomas and Loretto Whitty, one of nine daughters.
She received her nursing degree from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing and continued her education at Wagner College, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree.
Anne is survived by her children, Rita(Ronnie) Markowitz, Gerry Emanuel, Anne (Anthony) Gambardella, Raymond Brandefine, her grandchildren Dana, Ashley, Erik, Katie, Jessica, Allie and Anthony, great-grandchildren Alexis, Michael, Evan, Joshua and Joey, and 2 living sisters, Kathleen Polomene and Joan Hemsworth.
Anne was full of life and energy. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mentor, nurse, friend and sister. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed playing Mahjong and Bridge, Broadway performances and travelling. Anne was very active at St. Bernadette’s Church, serving as Eucharist minister, lector, alter server, active in St. Bernadette’s Angels, advisor for funeral arrangements, past president CCW, coordinator for Christmas gift giving tree, and attended daily mass and Bible Study. Anne was very generous and gained much pleasure in giving to others, always putting others first.
Services will be held at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St Lucie, with viewing on June 21st at 1-3pm and 6-8pm. A Catholic mass for our beloved will be held at St. Bernadette’s Church 350 NW California Blvd. Port St Lucie on June 22nd at 11:30am.
