Anne Tixier Campbell

Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1931, her family moved to Kingston Pennsylvania where she grew up and graduated from Kingston High school. She then married Don Savino of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. They later moved to Miami, Florida and raised their three children, Don Jr., Mark David and Elizabeth Ann Savino.

Following the death of Don Savino, Sr., Anne married Joseph W. Campbell in 1986 who preceded her in death in 2008.

Anne worked most of her adult years as Attendance Clerk, Typing Aid and Special Education Aid at Miami Carol City Senior High School where she retired. She enjoyed serving her community as a Sorority member of Beta Sigma Phi in Miami for more than 35 years, holding many important positions including past president.

Anne especially enjoyed reading books, doing all kinds of puzzles and watching TV game shows. She was very good at playing Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

She loved decorating her home for the holidays. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Her Christmas tree decorations were exquisite, and her Christmas village was something to behold.

Anne is survived by her sons, Don Savino and Mark Savino, grandchildren, Jennifer Cribb, Chris Savino, Andrea Fusco, Nicole Savino and Scott Savino and her great-grandchildren Carson Savino, Lilyana Savino, Nolan Savino, Joseph Fusco and Sophia Fusco.

Anne wished to be cremated, and a private celebration of Anne’s life will be held privately by family members.
