Dear Anne,
It has been 10 weeks and the things that have happened weigh heavy on my shoulders. I don't know if I'll ever get use to you not being here anymore. In the early morning when I let Abby, Brent and Charlie out, I walk to the back off the pool and look back at the house, through the kitchen window I have this feeling that just for a second I hope and pray that you would just walk across the kitchen so that I could just see you just one more time. Just for a second or two. When that doesn't happen a deep feeling of emptiness occurs in my chest. I'm sorry Anne, but I can't help it. This is going to take some time. 
I was at the dreaded Walmart just the other day and across the parking lot was a woman that looked just like you going into the store. I had to go by her just to see her. She walked just like you and for a moment she was you. I got what I needed and left.
You wouldn't believe this but one of your favorite songs keeps playing on the radio, Honey by Bobby Goldsboro. When I got home I got out your LP of Honey. I listen to the lyrics and it's just amazing on how your life followed this song. I never much cared for Bobby G., but I listen to the song and it reminds me of you. 
I miss so many of the things we did together, but what I miss most are the simple things. Supper on the stove when I got home, the conversations, and the light in your eyes when you were happy these things will stay with me forever.
I keep busy with this house and I know you would be happy. I got your list done, but I'll still keep your list with me.

Dan I am so sorry for your loss. I had the joy of growing up with Aunt Anne. She was a kind and loving person. I am sorry I didn't stay closer to her after she moved away.  Dear Anne,
It's been nine days and the nights are just terrible without you.
You went too quickly too fast for me to wrap my head around this.
I still expect you to walk into the room at any minute, laughing about something that happens only to you.
The dogs Abby, Brent and Charlie follow me from room to room like they are lost and looking for you. And they are, right along with me. They have started to eat somewhat, but Abby and Brent wait by the front door for a chance to see you coming up the driveway. I call them to bed and then I have to go and get them.
I lay in bed at night trying to sleep and a thought of you races through my mind and I'm up pacing until it passes. Then I lay down and the cycle starts all over again.

Over the years I couldn't wait to get home to have dinner and conversation with you to discuss our plans for the future. Preparing for vacations in the Smokies or just staying home and getting things done around the house.

The Blue Beetle I got you for our anniversary made you so happy, you drove it to my office so we could have lunch together are some of the best memories I'll have of you.
The memories over the years of being there for each other for the good and the bad times and those times brought us closer together will forever be with me. I can honestly say "You made me want to be a better man." 
Dear sweet Anne as we became older though each breath, each beat of our hearts we became more as one. 
I truly love you and always will.

Dan and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Anne was a beautiful sweet person that I had the pleasure of meeting on one of her many visits to Pigeon Forge, TN. She really wanted a cabin in the Smokies, I am grateful for being able to have spent time with her while we searched out cabins. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Aunt Anne was a beautiful person with a kind heart and soul. She always seemed to understand me. She was a great source of wisdom and always provided comforting advice. I'll miss our long talks and sharing moments of laughter. When I was feeling down and home-sick, Aunt Anne would cheer me up and make me feel better. I know she is up in heaven, peacefully watching over her loved ones. I will never forget all the kind things she's done for me. I hope that I can provide the care and comfort to other family members that she gave to me over the years. I know some day I will see her and the rest of my family again. Until then, may her spirit live on in mine and my family's hearts and souls. I love you Aunt Anne!  Your niece, Audra
