

Bettye or mom, Gram or Aunt Bettye as she was called by her loved ones and the many young people whom she worked with over the years in "Kings Kids" at Tropical Farms Baptist Church. She was also employed at Port Salerno Elementary School for 21 years where she also taught dance and directed her "Mini Minstrel" shows and helped shape the lives of many young people.
Bettye was preceded in death by her parents Shelby and Alba Gordon, her brother, Gene Gordon, her first husband, Bill Rogers, beloved son, Terry Rogers and granddaughter, Shannon.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Stavrakos, her brother, Jimmy Gordon, her son, Tom Rogers, her daughters by marriage and spiritual adoption, Ginny and Liz Rogers, her four grandchildren, Evan, Josh, Beth, and Aric Rogers and two great grandchildren Callan and Austin Rogers.
A viewing will be held at Aycock Funeral Home 1504 SE Floresta Drive Port St Lucie, Florida 34983 on July 8th from 3-7pm and funeral services will be held July 9th at 11am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church 2525 S 25th Street Fort Pierce, Florida 34981. A graveside service will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens 1501 S Kanner Hwy in Stuart. A Goodbye Celebration to be held at Port St Lucie Elks Lodge 343 NW Prima Vista Blvd Port St Lucie, FL 34983 following the graveside service.
