Coleman served as a Sergeant Medic in the Army during WWII and he was a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge; he also liberated two concentration Camps, and refused an Honorable Hardship Discharge after 2 of his brothers were killed in action and another was POW for the duration of the War. Coleman stated: he wanted to stay with his detachment as they were “Brothers” to him and wanted to fight for his country. He worked as an Engineer with the city of Milwaukee and retired to Port St. Lucie, Florida for the last 40 years. He had an infectious sense of humor, a kind loving heart, honorable, honest and was a giving man. Coleman gave his children a perfect example of what a loving marriage was.
A true “Quiet man” who could make you comfortable with just a look. A gentleman that was a gentle man….
Memorial Mass in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to be announced at a later date, where we will have a “beer followed by a sip of tea” in honor of the BEST dad in the world.
