I was thinking about you today. I think about you a lot. All of our Pokemon adventures; our duet winning first place in a guitar competition; and our vacation to come visit you and your family after you moved to Florida. Just to name few.

They don't make bonds like the one we had too often. I miss you so much.

I remember when we were literally twelve or thirteen.. losing our permission slips for the lock-in at super play....sleeping outside in the grass until our parents had to come and pick us up at 6 am. I remember lying in the woods with you at sportsman’s park, listening to our favorite songs and carving our names into the benches. Playing RuneScape and singing to each other on the phone in the shower. You always made me sing to you. I remember the time we kissed on every seat in the theater when the movie cleared out.. I remember you riding your bike to my house just to leave little love notes. I remember waking 8 miles to you in the middle of the night, only to see you for 10 minutes before the cops saw us. I remember you telling one of our closest friends that you were scared because you missed me right after we were apart. I remember sneaking into your room and having to climb in and out of the window. I remember you being mad at me for acting like a mom to you half of the time. I’m sorry for being hard on you. It was only because I loved you and wanted to protect you. I would give anything to have you mad at me one more time. You will always be my Bestfriend and my soulmate. I love you so much.

Danny, 
I never knew one month could be so hard. I feel foolish for believing this could somehow get easier. Everyday, I find myself looking through our old photos, videos and messages..wearing your shirt and wishing it still smelt like you. I would give anything and everything to make you laugh one more time, to kiss you over and over again. I keep replaying the last night we spent together in my head. I am ever-grateful for you making that drive to see me and making me feel special. I really do owe it to the universe for making you and I alive at the same time, and allowing us to be in love in the same lifetime. I hope heaven is real so we can love each other there too.

Terry and Pattie-We just heard this terrible news today.  We can not tell you how sorry we are.  I remember Danny as this athletic, quiet, sweet child with a great smile and awesome hair.  Shayne talked to me tomight about him hitting a needed homerun as a LL Dodger. We remember you guys as great and involved parents, and friends of ours.  I don't know how to get in touch with you privately, but our extended family and we have dealt with loss from addiction. I'm so sorry to hear about Daniel's passing.  Although his life was sadly cut short he obviously made a huge impact on those who loved and will love him forever. May the promise of a resurrection comfort you as mourn his passing. [John 5:28-29]

Daniel, my younger brother, I will miss you so much. You were a bright, thoughtful, and good man. I am so sorry for the road your life went down. I will never judge you, and I will always love you. I wish we could have had the opportunity to grow old together, but in lieu of that I will forever remember the good times we had together, growing up in Rockton. I remember you from when you were born, and I will remember you until the day I die. I know that now the pains and struggles you have gone through in the later parts of your life are over, and that brings some some solace.

I did not your son but I'm very familiar with how addiction can deystroy or heal a family.  A  short story my son's best friend who were like brothers growing up he had lost just 2yrs ago also had this challenge  as  he tried to get well what hurt my son and us was he had lost the battle but understood the diease you can carry this on your shoulder but hold on to the great memories and times you had while he was here we as parents want better for our childeren and when times like this come upon us we ask ourselfs did we do enough. no matter what words are shared at this time of sorrow  you will heal as time goes on our prayers are with you and your family. I have never met someone so deserving of everything beautiful in this world until I met you.  Witnessing you fight for the last eight years has made me the person I am today. These past two years have meant so much to me, talking every day.  I am going to miss your smile, your laugh, your touch, your hands you hated because they were as small as mine, your goofy personality, your hats, the way you would fidget with your phone in your hands, and most of all, you. You loved me when I couldn't love myself, as I did for you. We have seen each other at our best and unfortunately at our worsts. But I think that's what true love really is.  It was an honor to watch you grow all these years.  You grew into such a selfless, loving, kind, and smart man.  You weren't just my childhood best friend, you were my person. It's like our souls just recognized each other. Thank you for making me a better person, friend, and woman. You will always be my king and my hero.  I love you, always.

 Patty, I am so sorry for your loss. Having lost a child and knowing that pain, no parent should ever have to feel it. Ted is completely devastated as I, at the loss of your son. Addiction sucks. There are no words that will  ease your pain.  Just know that we’re here and love you. We are saying extra prayers for your comfort Along with the family. Let us know if there’s anything you need.

Our children that to  have fight demons such as addiction, fight hard Fights. I’m so sorry that we have such an ugly drug out there That affects our children.    If you need to talk day or night, i am going to be home for you. I completely understand what you’re going through.
