

Officer Lee Rehm was born in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating high school in Virginia Beach, Lee moved to South Florida. Lee began his law enforcement career in 1998 as a correctional officer for Martin Correctional Institute. In 2000 he was hired by the Magnolia Park Police Department where he worked until being hired by the Port St. Lucie Police Department in 2001. In 2010, Officer Rehm had a brief break in service when he relocated to Jacksonville, FL. Lee came back to Port St. Lucie and was immediately welcomed by the Port St. Lucie Police Department in 2012.
Officer Lee Rehm was a decorated officer and has received numerous awards. Lee served the agency in numerous capacities including Neighborhood Policing Bureau Road Patrol Officer, Criminal Division Juvenile Detective, Special Investigations Divisions Gang Unit Investigator, Field Training Officer, Directed Area Response Team (D.A.R.T.) member, and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) negotiator.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, George Larson Rehm, maternal grandfather, Albert Lester Hand, maternal grandmother, Eufronia “Ronnie” Hand, stepfather, Gary Rhoades and Aunt June Bernadeth Bowman.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Rehm of Port St. Lucie, FL; one daughter, Gabrielle Rehm and one son, Larson Rehm, both of Port St. Lucie, FL; father-in-law, Paul Sisilli of Port St. Lucie, FL; his mother, Marjory Hand Rhoades of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, Dustin Travis Rhoades and his wife Lisa of Virginia Beach, VA, Ryan Jacob Rhoades of Virginia Beach, VA; Four Aunts, Elizabeth Hand Williams and husband Larry of Virginia Beach, VA, Rosemarie Hand of Port St. Lucie, FL, Alberta Hand Bundoc and husband Eliseo of Jacksonville, FL, Debbie Horton and husband Steven of Jensen Beach, FL; one great-aunt, Shirley Jean Wells of Dubois, PA, Cousins Joshua Keith and wife Elise Horton, Christal & Kevin Gilmore, Ashley & Joseph Accardi, all of Port St. Lucie, FL, David Bowman of Ft. Pierce, FL, Donnie Albert Hand of NH, Tara & Alexandra Horton of Port St. Lucie, FL, Roman & Annelisa & Ethan and Andrianna Bundoc; and 10 2nd cousins.
A Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 12, 2014, 10:00AM at Morningside Church, 2180 SE Morningside Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL, with interment following at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, Port St. Lucie, FL.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at The Port St Lucie Civic Center Ruby Room immediately after the services. Light refreshments will be served.
In lieu of flowers for the service, financial assistance would be greatly appreciated.
