

Gerard “Gerry” E. Bouchard, 81, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Fort Pierce, Florida. Gerard was born October 3, 1934 to Ernest and Rella Bouchard in Madawaska, Maine. At the age of 18 he moved to Waterbury, Connecticut where he met the love of his life, Gloria Diamond, and they married in a double wedding with his sister and brother in law on April 28, 1956. Gerard and Gloria were married for 40 years before his beloved wife passed. Together they had 3 children; Mark Bouchard of Wolcott, Connecticut, Beth Bouchard of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and Lynn Tuz of Concord, North Carolina.
Gerard worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 40 years both in Southington, Connecticut and West Palm Beach, Florida. In his younger days he loved playing hockey and bowling. After his wife passed away he volunteered at Hospice. He also loved to go fishing and loved to travel to see family and friends.
He is survived by his children Mark and Andrea Bouchard, Lynn and Jim Tuz, and Beth Bouchard, his grandchildren Louis, Marc, and Paige Decarolis of Florida, Lexie and Joshua Lorencz, and Jimmy and Samantha Tuz of North Carolina, and Tyler, Brett, and Allyson Bouchard of Connecticut. He also leaves behind two great-grandsons, Louis Decarolis IV and James Tuz IV. Furthermore he leaves behind Yolanda Reilly, and Elaine and Joseph Lovallo, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Gerard was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Bouchard, and his parents, Ernest and Rella Bouchard, and his sister, Jeanne Wilderman.
A gathering and funeral will be held at Aycock Funeral Home on 1504 SE Floresta Drive Port Saint Lucie, Florida from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesday May 18, 2016. The funeral will be held after the viewing.
A graveside service and burial will be held at Mount Olivet, Watertown, Connecticut on Saturday May 28, 2016 at 9:00am.
