Gilbert (Gil) E. Rogers III

Born in Newton, NJ, Gil was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for 18 years, having moved from Vestal, NY.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Rogers was an entrepreneur, and during his career, owned and operated newspaper advertising and home cleaning businesses.

Gil was a member of the New York State Advertising Publishers Association, serving on the Board of Directors for 5 years, and as President for 2 years.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Rice-Rogers of Port St. Lucie, FL; four daughters, Darcy Rogers of Greene, NT, Kara Rogers Leonard and husband Nicholas of Rochester, NY, Laura Cimmino of Port St. Lucie, FL, Amy Cimmino and Daniel Blevins of Port St. Lucie, FL; five grandchildren, Samuel Hurlburt, Sara Blevins, Jonathan Hurlburt, Madelyn Blevins, Greyson Leonard; two sisters, Judy Rogers of Clovis, CA, Kathy Jenks and husband Gary of Round Rock, TX; one brother, Gary Rogers and wife Princess of San Antonio, TX; his mother-in-law, Shirley Rice; two brothers-in-law, Roger Rice and Bud Ligatle and wife Snookie; and two sisters-in-law, Karen Gregory and Rita Rice; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Rogers.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, November 2, 2013, 3:00PM at the Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, FL.
