Henretta Moore

Henretta Moore, a beloved resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, at the age of 95. Known for her generous heart and joyful spirit, Henretta touched the lives of all who knew her.

She had a deep love for cats, a passion for line dancing, and a talent for bringing people together over her famous broccoli casserole, deviled eggs, and cherished Christmas cookies. She also enjoyed many happy hours playing Rummikub and card games with friends and family. Her warmth and laughter will be remembered fondly by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Henretta is survived by her daughter, Carrie Sorensen, and her husband, Arnold; her granddaughter, Tammy Johnson, and her husband, Kevin; and her great-grandchildren, Samantha Johnson and Trevor Johnson, who lovingly knew her as “Nana.” Her legacy of love, kindness, and family traditions will live on through them.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 2:00-5:00PM at Aycock Funeral Home 1504 SE Floresta Drive Port St Lucie, Florida 34983

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Henretta’s name to Alley Cat Allies at www.alleycat.org, an organization close to her heart.

Henretta’s life was a testament to kindness, community, and the joy found in simple pleasures. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
