

Born in Italy, John lived in Port St. Lucie, FL since 1990, moving from New York. He migrated to New York on a boat from Italy when he was 17 years old. He was a snow bird to Florida from 1988 to 1990, when he settled in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Prior to retirement, he owned and operated S&S Painting in NJ, and was a member of the Painters & Decorators American Union. He also worked at the Towne Center Publix for 11 years.
Mr. Sanzone was a member and helped out with the Sons of Italy. He enjoyed bowling, dancing; loved being sharply dressed and groomed; was a jokester, quick witted, and always had a smile. He loved his family; and loved eating and staying thin.
John was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mae Sanzone; two daughters, Vicki Umstead of Toms River, NJ, Regina Enea of Port St. Lucie, FL; three grandchildren, Nicky Ferrante, Kristen Dougherty, Joseph Enea; two great-grandchildren, Ava Dougherty, Gia Dougherty; and dear friends, Joanne, Rob, Sean and Leah Murphy.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4:00PM – 7:00PM at the Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. A Prayer Vigil will be recited at 4:30PM at the Funeral Home.
A Mass will be Friday, November 18, 2016, 10:00AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, FL.
