

US Army Spc. Jordan C. Schumann, 24, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died July 5, 2011 in Paktya Province, Afghanistan. The vehicle he was driving was sent out to aid and assist another squad when his truck struck a massive improvised explosive device.
Jordan was born in Stuart, FL and resided in Port St. Lucie. He was a 2006 graduate of St. Lucie West Centennial High School and earned an EMT certification from FMTI in Melbourne, FL, after which he enlisted in the Army.
Jordan was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL.
Survivors include his wife Sarah Schumann, parents Clay and Linda Schumann of Port St. Lucie, FL, brother Clay Schumann, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL, Sister Heather Goldsmith of Ft. Benning, GA & 2 nieces. Also surviving are his father and mother-in-law Jay and Patti Morgan of Port St. Lucie, FL, brother-in-law Shawn Morgan and his fiancée Shanna Hendrick of Ft. Stewart, GA.
Jordan and Sarah are expecting the birth of their first child, son Tristan Alexander Schumann in September.
Friends and family may call at the Westside Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the Westside Baptist Church on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 7:00PM.
Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
