Luis Rodriguez

Luis was born on December 8, 1948 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro and Monserrate Rodriguez. He moved to New Bedford, Massachusetts with his parents and siblings in the mid 1960’s. There he met his love Lidya, and was married in 1969. They had four children and relocated their family to Florida in 1988, where Luis began his career with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer, retiring in 2010. Luis loved studying the Bible. He taught at the Spanish Eastern Bible Institute of the Assemblies of God and was very involved in his local church. He loved baseball and football and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He also enjoyed playing dominoes and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Lidya Rodriguez; one son, Luis A Rodriguez Jr; three daughters, Aileen Guadalupe, Laura Rodriguez, and Nancy Davis; four brothers, Bienvenido Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez, and Jesus Rodriguez; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A gathering of friends and family for Luis will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 Southeast Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. Following the gathering of friends and family will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at External Service Location, 1501 S Kanner Hwy, Stuart, FL 34994.
