Maria was born in Puerto Rico and moved to New York at the age of 17, before moving to Chicago, Illinois, and settling in Florida 19 years ago. She enjoyed going out to dinner and loved Puerto Rican Cuisines. Maria also enjoyed shopping.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Gelberto; and sister, Delia Diaz.
Survivors include her sisters, Carmen Lydia Mendez, Gladys Muniz, and Cruzita Torres; along with her friends, Zoila Sama and Guillermina Mendoza.
A visitation will take place on Friday June 16, 2017 from 10-11:30 am with a service to follow at 11:30 at Aycock at Tradition Life Celebration Center, 12571 SW Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery.
