

Pete grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. He served in the United States Navy, was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged. Pete became a certified master mechanic, in his hometown of Brooklyn. While building his auto business, he also began pursuing his career in law enforcement.
In 1979, he moved to Sunrise/Davie, FL. expanding his auto business. While his auto business grew, he continued his commitment to law enforcement by attending the Police Academy. Upon completion of the academy, he worked at many different police departments. He was ultimately hired by the Biscayne Park Police Department and achieved the ranking of Sergeant. He spent the remainder of his career in Biscayne Park and retired in 2008.
Pete was a very passionate man, which was apparent throughout his lifetime. He was a member of the Blue Knights for many years, where he served as President of Chapter IV. When he moved to Port St. Lucie, his continued commitment was with Chapter X. He was also a long time member of the Italian/American Club.
Anyone that knew Pete, knew his love for boating, RV’ing, corvettes, motorcycles, and traveling with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Julia and Ignatius Marotta, former wife Arlene Marotta, brother, Thomas Marotta.
He is survived by his beloved partner Anne Paulsen-Theobald, Pete’s precious dog, Merlot. Sister, Marie and Joseph (husband) Panullo, brothers, Paul and Linda (wife) Marotta, Anthony and Maria (wife) Marotta. nieces and nephew, Christina, Lauren, Paul and Nicole.

A visitation for Peter will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a funeral service from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 Southeast Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
