

Robert (Bob) Currier, 84, of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Brooklyn/Plainfield, CT passed away on March 21, 2021 from a courageous battle of the effects of Covid 19.
He was born in Putnam, CT, a son of the late John and Hazel (Dickey) Currier. He was married to his wife and soul mate of nearly 65 years, JoAnn (St. Pierre) Currier.
He resided in the Brooklyn and Moosup, CT area before moving to Port St. Lucie, FL in 2005. He worked as a school custodian for EastConn after Pervel Industries shut down, where he had worked for 27 years. He was honorably discharged after 8 years in the Army National Guard.
Bob was an avid hunter and an expert marksman. He also loved metal detecting and watching golf, especially when Tiger Woods was playing. He had a project going all the time since his retirement because he said it kept him young to keep busy.
Bob's love for his wife and children was enormous and he was devoted to making sure his whole family was happy and had everything they needed.
In addition to his wife, JoAnn, he is survived by his daughters, Linda Paiva, Darlene Espeleta and her husband, Scott, Cheryl Gervais and her husband Brian, and Roberta Gervais and her husband, Paul Sr.; his grandchildren, Marc Simonds, and his wife Vilma, Alana Vargulish and her husband, Edward III, Necolasa Cafaro and her husband, Mike, Dr. Monica Gervais, Paul Gervais Jr. and his wife Jamie, and Daniel Gervais, and his great grandchildren, Robert Paiva, Edward Vargulish IV, Samantha and Krystal Butler, Myles, Caelum and Luna Gervais, his brother, Thomas Currier, and many nieces and nephews who claimed he was their best Uncle.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, John, Andrew, Charles, Earl, Frank and Walter, his sisters, Hazel, Gertrude, Marcelena, Pauline and a grandson, Jason Thomas.
Bob will be missed by all who knew him and his big smile.
A celebration of his life will be held in Connecticut in July.
