Vincent Carmine Montalto Sr., age 82, of Port St Lucie, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Vincent was born in New Haven, CT. He had been a resident of Florida for the past 25 years coming from Norwalk, CT.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Emily Jeanette (Dolly) of 62 years.
Survivors include brother, Carmine Montalto, sister, Theresa Messina and brother Vito Jr. (Doreen) and close in-law family members. Sons, Vincent Montalto Jr. (Kimberly), Mark Montalto and Dean Montalto; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & great nieces, nephews.
Vincent graduated from Hill House High School in New Haven, CT, and later went on to receive a degree in electronics from Connecticut School of Electronics. In the years to follow, he took up carpentry and became a licensed Master Electrician. As his sons were growing he was a Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America and a coach for Little League Baseball.
His hobbies and interests included collecting and flying RC airplanes with his sons and grandsons, camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, making homemade pasta, and watching the UCONN Mens and Women’s basketball games. Most importantly, he enjoyed time being surrounded by family and close friends, Sunday dinners of pasta & meatballs, a good cigar, and taking his grandkids at Christmas time to see all the lights & decorations around the city.
A visitation for Vincent will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 Southeast Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Aycock Funeral Home 1504 Southeast Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. A graveside service will follow from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6026 North Us Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946.
