Ann Cook Larsen 86 passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024 at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn ME. She was born on April 5, 1937 in Portland, ME, the daughter of Robinson Cook and Eleanor Western Cox. She received her Elementary and Jr. High education at Waynflete school in Portland ME. She attended High School at Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg ME. After graduating she volunteered at Maine Medical Center receiving her volunteer pin. She would visit her grandfather Edward Western Cox daily. She studied to became a Certified Nursing Assistant Once certified She started working at Pineland in 1960 where she met Carl Albert Larsen. They would get married; October 22 1962 in Norway ME. Mrs. Larsen chose to be a fulltime mother and wife. Their first child Gregory Scott Larsen was born in 1963 and their second child Elizabeth Ann Larsen (Betsy) was born in 1964. They moved to Otisfield Maine in 1970 so Mrs. Larsen could care for her ailing parents. Mrs. Larsen was divorced in 1976. Ann moved to Oxford ME in 1982 after her parent’s estate plans had been carried out. She became employed at Beals Laundry in Auburn until it closed and then Norway Laundry until she retired. She enjoyed talking on the CB with the handle “Wait a Minute.” She loved Family, and enjoyed canning, sewing, needle crafts, crocheting, watching old movies and musicals. She also loved dancing and listening to different types of music such as Country, Polka, Big Band, Classical, and Opera. In 2013 Mrs. Larsen moved in with her son Greg and daughter in law Fern Follett-Larsen until 2019 where she then became a resident at St. Mary’s D’youville Pavilion. Survived by: Her daughter Elizabeth Larsen (Betsy), Her son Greg Larsen and his wife Fern Follett, Her grandchildren Savannah Larsen and her wife Nicole Cummings, Marshall Larsen and His wife Kaitlyn Lavallee, Her great grandchildren Wesley Larsen and Sybil Larsen Her five Nephews and five Nieces and 24 grands. She will be laid to rest in the Cook Family Lot at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland ME at a time to be determined.
