Claude was born in Notre-Dames-des-Bois, Canada. The second born son to Suzanne and Arthur Dupuis on April 30, 1945. He attended school in the same town where he met his wife Clemence Goulet. They were mortal enemies but eventually fell in love. They were married on August 17, 1968 in that same town. Unfortunately, they had to move away to the United States due to lack of work in Claude’s chosen field of drywalling. They ended up in New York State, and then moved back to Canada, then to the grand state of Maine. While in New York State, they had their two children. In Maine, he worked many years for Dirigo Drywall. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting – trying in vain to get his children interested. He enjoyed working with his hands and his children were very thankful. He spent a lot of time with his grandchildren and will sorely missed by them.
Claude is survived by his wife of 53 years Clemence; his children Nancy Tate and her husband Jeff, Eric Dupuis and his wife Cheryl; his grandchildren Corene Bowers and her husband Jeremy, Jacob Tate, Autumn Dupuis, and Tobias Dupuis; and his siblings Danielle Dupuis, Helene Dupuis and Luc Dupuis. He is predeceased by his brother Maurice Dupuis.
A private graveside service will be held.
