

Connie was born on October 6, 1924 in Worcester, MA, a daughter of the late Fred S. & Melina (Deschenes) Jones. She is survived by the following: Her son George W. Greene and his fiancé Kim McLaughlin of Old Orchard Beach, ME, daughter and son-in-law Jan (Greene) Kise and Mike Kise of Clyde, NY, and daughter Jo (Greene) Dederer of Lagrangeville, NY; Eight grandchildren: Isaac and his wife Candy, Briana, Emily, Andrew, Derek, Brian and his wife Meghan, Bobby, Christian, and Jim; three great grandchildren; Jessie, Ava and Owen; A brother Ron Jones and his wife Mary of Maryland and several nieces and nephews whom she adored. She is predeceased by her sister Arline Donabedian and son-in-law Bob Dederer.
Connie grew up in Boston, MA, graduating from the High School of Practical Arts in 1942. She worked for a photography studio and sang at the Buddies Club during WWII before she moved to Red Hook, NY. Family, friends, church, and singing were Connie’s loves. One could always see her smiling and offering her "sermon of the day” whether it was her career as a cashier for Grand Union and Stop and Shop for over 30+ years, belonging to a bowling league, singing in the United Methodist Church choir, or being a parishioner at the Dutch Reformed Church.
A Celebration of her life will be held at the Dutch Reformed Church in Red Hook, NY on March 21, 2015 at 2 pm.
